Relaxing and Great People | Crystal Sand Beach Resort
January 22, 2012“Best Experience-Cheap/Relaxing & Great People” this is the people say about boracay. They say… I flew in from LA. to Manila. Stayed in Manila for a few days, then got in Caticlan. From there, lots of transportation to the port that will take you to Boracay. I picked a hostel called Frendz because I was by myself. I’m a female in my 30’s. I met many teachers like me from Thailand. Many were travelling solo too.
The first impression I had was, “Wow, Boracay is PARADISE!” I took off my sandals and felt that the sand was like baking flour. Yes, baking flour! That’s how soft it was! The water was crystal clear.
Boracay is not heavily commercialized like Hawaii. It is calm and the people are remarkably hospitable.
The nightlife is another attraction. The bars and restaurants are all open along the beach. You can just stroll by and see if it’s the vibe and crowd you like. It was the best experience.
I went to Bohol right after. Bohol was nice but Boracay was just unforgettable because there was more happening. I will definitely come back.
